Company description:
Tiaong Rural Bank, Inc. (TRBI) started banking operations in 1954. Its founders decided to put up a bank with the goal of providing banking services to the countryside and to uplift the welfare of the “common tao”. For 56 years, the bank has strived to attain this through its various products and services which, although offered by a rural bank, are clearly at par with those of larger and highly capitalized commercial banks with dedicated product development personnel. As recognition, the bank has been cited Rural Bank of the Year three (3) times.
Through the years TRBI has sustained its operations through the continued patronage of its clients and for this reason, TRBI has been unwavering in its commitment to bring banking services to the people within its areas of operations. It was the bank that introduced the ATM to Tiaong. It became the bank that offered the first checking account in the locality. It was and is one of the highly computerized rural banks in CALABARZON. With product innovations aided by technology, the bank has grown from only a single branch when Dr. Castillo, its current Chairman/President, took over, to seven branches today.
Today, all its branches are on-line thus are able to provide service to clients from various branches in the network. Furthermore, with the branches on-line various services are in the works including among other the issuance of the bank’s own ATM cards, mobile banking and the creation of the bank’s own web site.
Its employees provide the backbone of the banks’ service delivery. And, young and dynamic as they are, it is certain that they will carry on into the future are the officers who shall be continuing the tradition of a customer oriented institution. Currently, its employees are now more than seventy (70) from eight (8) when Dr. Castillo first assumed office.
In the future, the bank expects a continued growth, expanding to at least 16 branches in the next five years. And with the help of a reliable technological and communications backbone, in the next year or two, the bank will be offering competitive products and services such as the mobile banking, remote banking via the internet, and online and mobile bills payment facilities which would be benchmarks in the rural banking industry.
