A 1-year project role required to ensure effective and timely implementation of engineering and infrastructure programs as committed in the Memorandum of Agreements for the municipalities of Kiblawan, Malungon, Tampakan, and Columbio.
Key responsibilities :
•Effectively apply established systems in identifying and evaluating community issues, needs, and problems related to infrastructure; recommend relevant actions and responses; execute implementation programs; and ensure monitoring and evaluation activities according to agreed quality standards and timelines.
•Implement and monitor delivery of engineering and infrastructure projects based on commitments covered by Memorandum of Agreements with partner local government units.
•Ensure community engineering and infrastructure projects and resources support SMI’s community development strategy and provide valuable feedback internally to continually improve programs.
•Support the implementation of capacity-building programs and activities for groups formed required for the implementation of community engineering and infrastructure projects.
•Deliver training and orientation activities on the operations and maintenance of engineering and infrastructure projects to community stakeholders to ensure effective use of resources.
Key requirements:
•Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, preferably with license
•At least 3 years of relevant experience in infrastructure development and management in the community and in upland areas, preferably on potable water system development, health center construction, communal irrigation development, and school building construction
•Demonstrated ability in preparing infrastructure proposal, standard work program, inspection report, completion report, and project implementation, and monitoring and evaluation
•With community organising and facilitation skills
•Proficient in computer operation, particularly in MS Office suite and AutoCAD
•Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office applications and other engineering software
