CopiaMobile - a start-up enterprise based in Scottsdale, Arizona that provides retailers, their suppliers and advertisers the ability to execute direct to consumer incentive schemes, loyalty programs and coupon campaigns via mobile devices through a solution that is both convenient to use and effective to operate. This new, unique, and ground-breaking solution utilizes innovative network security technology and advanced predictive modeling techniques to allow consumers to receive, select, and redeem coupons via a secure, fast, and easy wireless connection to the Point-of-Sale (POS). Retailers are able to accept mobile coupons without the need to scan barcodes on the phone display or have cashiers validate promotions by keying a promotion code into the POS. The solution thereby eliminates the most challenging obstacles to the broad adoption of mobile coupons: ease of redemption and the ability to effectively target market promotions.
Video Professor - a leading consumer educational company that develops, manufacturers and offers tutorials for a variety of computer-related subjects, such as learning to use Microsoft Word, Microsoft Windows, and eBay. The Video Professor Online delivery system allows lessons to be streamed directly to the customer's computer, with the customer having temporary access to the entire learning library versus owning individual lessons. The Video Professor brand has approximately 95% brand awareness in the computer tutorial market.
Responsibilities:
• Support the total design effort and participate in multiple projects, consistently solve complex problems, and have assigned responsibility for mentoring, support and technical project leadership for more junior engineers.
• Evaluate and analyze software products and provide sales support.
• Define, develop, and manage the whole process of a integrating analytic components into products and engaging individuals across various departments or organizations to resolve problems
• Work jointly with clients to ensure business requirements are clearly communicated
Experience:
• 7 years of experience with enterprise programming in Java/J2EE, Analytics, Enterprise Applications, Web Service, OOD
• Bachelor*s degree in Computer Science, Engineering (any type) or a related field
• Excellent hands-on design, implementation and communication skills
• Expert knowledge using Web Services, WSDL, SOAP - XML
• 7 years of experience in software development, engineering, or related field
• In-depth knowledge of Unix, Windows, JVM, web and application servers
• Expert knowledge of J2EE (EJB, Servlets, JSP, XML, JDBC, JMS)
• Strong knowledge of Design Patterns
• Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript
• Experience with performance tuning, caching, clustering and related concepts is preferred
• Experience with JSF, Seam and/or Hibernate would be a bonus
