1) General Function:
Provide support to the Fund Raising and Communication TEAM in the development and implementation of its fundraising and external communication strategies and plans. Specifically, to help, through various methods of promotion, increase the sources and methods of donations; focus on local donations through:
- Create effective and efficient materials to ensure continuous communication with prospects, donors and local sponsors that will result in continuous funding and support for the foundation
- Conceptualize, plan and implement and evaluate campaigns that will generate local new donors, sponsors who will support the foundations direction and work
Key Task and Responsibilities:
In brief, FR Associate is responsible for participating in planning, actual implementation and evaluating campaigns, undertaking studies, working to acquire support for the foundation.
In detail, the FR Associate is responsible for:
1. Undertake local fundraising and support the FR and Sponsorship teams as they fundraise by providing them with effective communication tools / materials that will lead to grow and develop donors for the foundation;
a. Writing / prepare (including research, lay-out and coordination, etc.) and managing the distribution press pack, newsletter, collaterals, website, annual report etc.
b. Planning / implementing / facilitating /managing activities and events in support of local fundraising.
c. Establish new relationship with restaurants and other prospects.
2. Lead in coordinating the production/ sale of art cards / IGP / Calendar/etc. to local and American prospects/buyers.
3. Ensure to maintain and develop partnerships with restaurants which are already our partners.
4. To assist in coordinating the choir performances and other program related activities that may generate prospects and donors (like parties, visits. etc.).
5. Undertake the design of all collaterals and work including coordinating with suppliers like 6 degrees and B & C.
6. Collect information /database/ research that is relevant to the work of the team and the foundation.
7. Supervise / maximize the talents / energies of the OJT / volunteers / consultants.
8. Perform other related tasks as required
Qualifications
Education:
University degree in Development Communication / Design or its equivalent;
Work Experience:
At least one (1) year of practical working experience with the NGO sector on fundraising/communication projects
The ideal candidate is a native English speaker, or has excellent English language proficiency, with a background as a journalist, or at least has shown strong writing skills.
