The Professional Development Division (PDD) is under the Department of Education’s National Educators Academy of the Philippines (NEAP). Its main function is to provide for the professional development opportunities for all DepEd employees through the development and implementation of learning and development (L&D) interventions and training resource packages. The Office is also mandated to provide guidelines and develop learning maps and Master Plans for Professional Development (MPPD) based on needs and current demands for learning.

The current L&D interventions being implemented by the Professional Development Division are:

 Central Office Leadership Program for Directors and Chiefs

 Superintendents Leadership Program

 Region and Division Supervisors Leadership Program

 Instructional Leadership Program for District and Division Supervisors

 NEAP In-House Professional Development Program

 Regional and Division Offices Non-Teaching Development Program

 Regional Leaders Development Program

 School Heads Development Program (Foundation and Intermediate Courses)

 DepEd Scholars Circle and Partners Testimonial and Forum

 Development of Training Resource Packages for Adolescent Health and Sexuality, Drug Education, and GAD

PDD is likewise tasked to establish partnerships with scholarship grant institutions to support professional development and to provide technical assistance to the region and schools division offices in terms of training program management, delivery and job-embedded learning.
