About GF AND PARTNERS ARCHITECTS, CO.

GF and Partners Architects, Co. was formally established in December 1973 and registered with the Philippine Securities and Exchange Commission the following month. This was to pursue the vision of its founder, Architect Gabriel P. Formoso, who was one of the first 100 licensed architects in the Philippines and who started his practice in 1938. The original partnership was composed of architects Susana S. Castillo, Sevirino C. Villarama, Jaime C. Marquez, Ricardo S. Dela Rosa, Jr., Rodolfo V. Lameyra and Gabriel P. Formoso, who acted as the Managing Partner.

Many other notable architects, like Jose Mendoza, Augusto Iral and Angel Nakpil, became Partners and helped build the firm's reputation for outstanding and professional architectural services. The Firm was not spared the adverse effects of national political events, like the assassination of Mr. Benigno Aquino in 1983 or the ASIAN socio-economic downtrends in 1997 that impacted the construction industry leading to the drastic reduction of architectural projects. But with the shrewd business and management initiatives the firm implemented, it was able to overcome the difficulties and emerged even stronger from the experience.

Through the years, GF&P has developed the expertise in providing full range architectural design consultancy services to developers. It has designed and also collaborated with well-known international architectural firms on a vast spectrum of projects. Many of GF structures have become landmarks in the country, some of which are the Manila Peninsula Hotel, Manila Shangrila-la Hotel, GT International Tower, Greenbelt Center 1-4, St. James the Greater Church, Baguio Country Club, AIM, Makati City Hall,. The Residences at Greenbelt and the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, whose replica is printed on the Philippine 100 peso bill.

Today, GF&P looks forward to the future as it intensely pursues to achieve its vision of becoming the country's top architectural firm by 2014.
