Marine Benefits Assistance Services, Inc. is an assistance company focusing on supporting a range of benefits and welfare programs for shipboard employees in the international shipping industry. Its affiliated company, Marine Benefits AS, was established in November 2006 and was certified by the Financial Supervisory Authority of Norway in January 2007 as an insurance agent. The new office in Makati serves as a hub for claims administration and customer service and was officially registered in the Philippines in October 2007, about the same time that Marine Benefits Services AS was established in Bergen. The principal area of business of the company, together with its affiliated offices in Norway, is the provision and support of group benefit policies for marine officers and crewmembers. This includes a health benefit plan implemented internationally. In many countries, Marine Benefits is using local health provider network partners and /or call centers in order to assist members of the plan in their local language. This plan fills the gap between the residence country's local, restricted benefit and low limit plans and the full priced western medical plans currently provided to senior officers and their families in some sectors of the industry. Aimed at enhancing recruitment prospects and retaining crewmembers in the industry, the company is jointly owned by Norwegian Hull Club, among the largest pure marine underwriters in the world and MHG Associates Ltd., the marine industry's international benefits specialist. We offer a competitive compensation and benefit package in a friendly work environment! Now is a great time to join Marine Benefits..
