  • Roles and Responsibilities

    Involve in product selection process to ensure that the merchandise consistently appeals to customer's preference

    Selects, approves, orders fabrics to be used

    Ensure samples are with proper labels and tags

    Involve in pricing and price negotiations

    Continuously coordinates and build good business relationship with suppliers and clients

    Regularly directs suppliers to provide samples that supports the needs of clients

    Sets and provides schedules / timeline to suppliers (sampling, shipment, etc.)

    Visits stores to review trends & prices.

    Evaluate suppliers for accuracy of order, timely shipping, and quality of product.

    Research & develop samples

    Give complete instructions/directions to sample makers

    Set schedules / timeline for items in local production

    assigns items for development to different suppliers / subcons

    checks and approves counter samples

    gives detailed feedback on counter samples

    checks and approves shipment samples

    conduct initial interview/screening on subcon applicants in compliance of SOPs

    Reports in Mancom Meetings, Production meetings, Quarterly business plan evaluation, Yearly Business Planning.

    Status report of Subcon and Buyer, Vice-versa (Report must be presented every week on MarCom)

    All activities such as negotiations, transactions that being done by the suppliers and buyers with corresponding dates from proper monitoring should be reported to Marketing Director.

    ability to work well with all levels of management, build relationships and direct teams

    ability to adapt to quickly changing priorities

    strong negotiation skills

    excellent written and verbal communication skills

    computer literate

    Experience, Education and Training

    -bachelor degree in business management related course

    at least 4 years work experience in merchandising / retail management
