    The position exists for providing excellent financial service to Asia Pacific Headquarter of Emerson Automation

    Solutions including but not limited to, assisting in desktop review and reconciliation of various Income

    Statement and Balance Sheet accounts, ensuring that all Asia Pacific sites comply with the standard financial

    reporting requirements of Automation Solutions US HQ and Emerson Corporate, applying Emerson Internal

    Controls and Corporate Policies & Procedures. Proposing initial issue resolutions, adjustment and/or process

    improvement based on findings made on the review and reconciliation of Income Statement and Balance

    Sheet accounts.


    Operations Review

    Generates quantitative information from a single or multiple tools (Business Intelligence Tools (ie: HFM,

    Oracle, BBBI, Qlikview, Noetix, Financial Statements, Certificates and Notes to financial data).

    Formats extracted data based on expected report output. (Freight Report, Retained Earnings


    Categorizes and segments extracted data using tools to convert data to information relevant to the

    report (Cost Accounting Report, Page 16, Embedded Derivatives Calculation, Retained Earnings

    Reconciliation, Sales Returns & Allowances, Warranty Report and Bad Debt Analysis).

    Analyzes gathered financial information thru variance checking.

    Calculates financial ratios such as Inventory Turn Over, Days Sales Outstanding, Days Payable

    Outstanding, accrual computation for Warranty, Sales Returns & Allowances, Bad Debts, and

    Embedded Derivatives Calculation.

    Analyzes gathered information & data using diagnostic analytics by identifying the issue, what causes it,

    its impact to operation, how to mitigate its impact, identification of possible solutions.

    Communicates narrative review of financial account movements with no major issues to Asia Pacific

    Headquarters Finance users.

    1st level - Proposes adjustments based from the analyzed results of static/dynamic reports.

    Monitors adjustment and correction if properly implemented. Evaluates and tracks the effectiveness of

    the correction and corrective action identified by the process owner for closure.

    Financial Period Close

    Generates test reports to validate Asia sites' compliance with the standard financial reporting

    requirements of Auto Sol USHQ and EMR.

    Analyze and validates to identify reason for variances and possible actions to eliminate discrepancies

    and/or justify the exemptions.

    Tracks previously identified corrective and preventive actions to ensure they are closed in a timely


    Analyzes gathered information & data using descriptive analytics, trend analysis of current numbers

    against expected numbers.

    Validation of financial data through sense check, variance and trend analysis, through sites and BU

    communication and use of other financial data available.

    Assist Asia Pacific sites in HFM troubleshooting /reporting of the accounts related to the review.

    Process and System Controls

    Shipment Certification

    Consolidation of shipment declarations across Asia Pacific sites.

    Data validation to ensure compliance of site's data with Internal Controls and Sales Recognition criteria.

    Descriptive analytics of shipment declaration for whole of Asia Pacific.

    Supplier Merge

    Communicate and monitor vendor setup.

    Serves as World Area liaison for Oracle’s Supplier Merge process.

    APHQ SharePoint Management

    Gathers, collects, organizes reports submitted by Sites and BUs.

    Set of Books Audit

    Communicate and monitor timely closing and opening of periods on Oracle modules.



    Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy or any Accounting related degree

    Certified Public Accountant

    Job Related Experience:

    2 years combined experience in financial reporting and analysis, budgeting, general ledger, general

    accounting, intercompany accounting, fixed assets and inventory, financial statements preparation and audit.


    Strong Analytical skills
