     Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

     Excellent written and oral communication skills.

     Ability to work with little supervision and willing to do trainings.

     Strong interpersonal skills.

     Computer literate with proficiency using Microsoft project, Excel, Outlook and Word.


    1. Bears a smile for every patient and attends to them willingly.

    2. Wears proper office uniform with ID and have a pleasing personality.

    3. Tones down voice when talking to patient and avoids argument with patient.

    4. Gives right information to the patient.

    5. Acts as a receptionist to the OPD triage area.

    6. Keeps conversation short and avoids unnecessary comments with the patient especially when there are patients and other persons around.

    7. Observe proper decorum always.

    8. Guide and assists the department medical secretaries.

    9. Always inform the co-secretary/department medical secretaries when leaving the posts.

    10. Observe proper use of telephone. (Tone down voice when calling others for the phone calls)

    11. Stays at respective place.

    12. Reports to the perspective posts 15-30 minutes before the actual clinic hours.

    13. Reports to OPD Head if any problem occurred.

    14. All walk-in patients are given to doctors on deck holding clinics which are recorded in the logbook.

    15. They should know if the doctors are present in their clinics for proper referral, and this is in coordination with the department medical secretaries.

    16. Collects and record daily, quarterly, monthly census of out-patients from department medical secretaries (Surgery, Internal Medicine, OB, Pedia).

    17. Reports monthly census to the OPD Head.

    18. Ask the department medical secretaries if there are enough supplies to the clinic like cotton balls, alcohol, gauze and gloves.

    19. Records in the logbook and attends to patients requiring the said services.

    20. Issues charge slip to patient.

    21. Submits daily report to the OPD Head copy furnished the office of the Hospital Administrator.
