  • Job Summary:

    The Supply Chain and Inventory Control Supervisor ensures optimal performance of all processes within the supply chain from ordering to shipment to receiving. This position is responsible for maintaining adequate inventory levels, closely monitoring the product life-cycle to predict major demand patterns along with seasonality, and recommending solutions for phase-out or slow-moving inventory. This position is also responsible for after-sales service including warranty, repairs, and/or training.

    Job Description:

    • Serve as primary liaison officer with suppliers and agents for the procurement and shipment of products.

    • Manage the entire ordering process, including identifying and ordering the proper quantity, reviewing pricing, shipment, and payment terms, ensuring supplier contracts and purchase orders are executed, overseeing the timely shipment of products ordered, and resolving any shipment issues with suppliers such as quantity discrepancies or incorrect items delivered.

    • Classify products into a hierarchy of categories resembling a tree structure to facilitate reporting and analysis of sales and inventory levels, and for use in marketing materials and online marketplaces.

    • Review products to determine appropriate inventory levels given supplier lead times and forecasted customer demand.

    • Work with suppliers to determine required minimum order quantity, standard packing quantity, customized packaging conditions with requirements for logo, inner/outer boxes, polybag details and other special instructions

    • Work with marketing team to assess current orders and forecast future demand to ensure timely responses to changes in demand and timely resolution to any supply chain problems that may arise.

    • Support all processes related to new product offerings, such as creation of item codes in SAP, inclusion in marketing materials, and fabrication of product mock-ups where required.

    • Review products for possible phase-out and recommend strategies to deal with obsolete and slow-moving inventory.

    • Prepare or facilitate the preparation of procurement, inventory and other related reports as required.

    • Oversee processes on after-sales service including warranty and repairs.

    • Support new product training for marketing and logistics personnel.

    • Maintain security of all confidential and proprietary information.

    • Other tasks as may be assigned from time to time.

    Job Qualifications:

    • Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent experience

    • Minimum 2 years’ experience in similar supply chain and inventory management role

    • Minimum 2 years’ experience in supervisory role required

    • Excellent project management skills, with a demonstrated ability to consistently prioritize and manage multiple tasks required

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite required

    • Demonstrated experience in improving efficiencies, reducing costs in previous positions

    • Experience in importation and customs brokerage a plus

    • Outstanding communication skills including written and verbal required

    • Possess some knowledge in ERP systems a plus

    • Highly motivated and can work independently, detailed oriented, organized and efficient

    • Creative problem solver and self-starter, passionate about achieving results and getting the work done

    • Ability to meet deadlines with competing priorities and work under pressure

    • Team player; ability to work well and be flexible with other departments
