  • 1. Oversees patient care activities in all nursing within the assigned shift:

    a. Ensures appropriate staff assignment based on unit requirement, approved nurse-

    patient ratio, skill mix of staff and workload.

    b. Coordinates with NSO and HR Department to ensure desired number of staff in all

    nursing unit is achieved.

    c. Makes nursing rounds to assess quality of patient care and to identify problems and


    d. Reports to appropriate authority findings on non-compliance.

    e. Completely documents all findings on non-compliance for further investigation and

    analysis (24 hour shift managers’ report/Incident report)

    f. Provides supervision as necessary in matters related to:

    1) Execution of responsibilities of the staff.

    2) Admission, transfer and discharge

    3) Surgical / Procedural protocols.

    4) Unit Manager’s Monthly Audit

    2. Attends to all internal customer complaints and patient related issues and concerns.

    a. Assesses and monitors patients/internal customer complaints/issues/concerns and

    promptly responds to all patients.

    3. Performs audits to ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures and


    a. Opens medical chart review of all patients scheduled to undergo any

    surgical/invasive procedures.

    b. Chart Audit

    c. Staff related Concerns (Punctuality, attendance, compliances)

    d. Staff grooming

    e. Unit Managers Monthly audit report.

    f. Staff Assignment, Staff compliment and staff mix.

    g. Environmental audit (Waste segregation, 5S)

    h. Emergency cart checklist

    i. Medication management and use (storage, preparation, administration and


    j. Nursing and other clinical indicators (fall, bed sores, deep vein thrombosis,

    aspiration, precaution, restraints)

    4. Prepares and submits Bi Monthly staff schedule of the assigned unit and encodes at


    5. Prepares and submits Nurse Managers monthly audit reports assigned by the


    6. Performs and submit staff appraisal, counseling, and improvement plan.

    7. Coordinates with concerned departments on matters related to:

    a. Admission, transfer and discharge

    b. Medical device

    c. Facility

    d. Utilities

    e. Security

    8. In case of disaster:

    a. Maintains close liaison with other floor brigade managers and hospital incident

    commanders (QSD)

    b. If necessary, decides on transport and relocation of patients in close coordination

    with the floor brigade managers.

    c. Coordinates activities in the evacuation area and communicates the situations to

    the Emergency Department Officer or hospital incident commander or Quality and

    Safety Department (QSD).

    d. Ensures safe transfer of all patients back to their respective rooms in coordination

    with the hospital incident commander/floor brigade managers.

    9. Initiates and participates in the identified continuous quality improvement activities of

    the Nursing Services Division.

    10. Attends to all system (HIMS) related issues and concerns escalated by the Unit

    Manager or Charge Nurse/Staff Nurse during the period of his/her assigned shift.


    - Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Nursing

    - PRC License valid

    - BLS ans ACLS valid

    - PNA member

    - ANSAP member - IVT valid

    with atleast 36 earned Masteral Units aligned with Degree, Masteral Degree preffered

    MAN / MSN.

    - must have working experience as Supervisor and hospital experience og not less than

    5 years.
