Accounting Assistant

JOB PURPOSE

The Accounting Assistant is responsible for providing support to the head of accounting in accordance with the company policies and procedures.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Handle and manage all petty cash transactions
• Prepare and facilitate online posting of all government-mandated benefits and premiums for employees
• Maintain historical records through digital and physical financial records
• Issue AR/PR/OR to internal customers and external partners, as needed
• Prepares and updates accounts for deposit as directed
• Schedule and handle payment processing for utilities, dues, property leases, gasoline expenses, and other outsourced services
• Manage and update buyer’s ledger
• Review and file payroll documents
• Participate in quarterly and annual audits
• Performs related tasks that may be assigned by immediate superior from time to time.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• Education
- Preferably a graduate of a 4-year course with a BSC/BA in Accounting/ Business Management or any equivalent course

• Training and Certifications
- Finance-related training (an advantage)

• Specialized Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Work experience as an Accounting Assistant or Accounting Clerk (an advantage)
- Knowledge of basic bookkeeping procedures
- Familiarity with finance regulations
- Good math skills and the ability to spot numerical errors
- Hands-on experience with MS Excel and accounting software (e.g. Aries)
- Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information
- Must be hardworking, detail oriented and analytical
- Can communicate well (verbally and in writing )

Requirements

• Minimum education level: Bachelor´s Degree
• 1 year of experience
• Language(s): English ,Tagalog
• Knowledge: Cost analysis, Accounting, Finances, Organisation
