Job Description

• Administer all Brokerage personnel and ensure appropriate training and knowledge sharing in terms

of brokerage processes, laws, regulatory changes, etc.

• Monitor work of all brokerage personnel, increase competency of Brokerage Team to ensure high

service level and ensure all KPIs are fulfilled

• Ensure complete and timely document submission to other internal departments

• Support brokerage manager in overseeing and standardizing brokerage set-up in the branches

• Perform audits on transactions and ensure compliance with all customs brokerage transactions.

• Analyze the process and design procedures to reduce processing and operating costs for brokerage

businesses and design various improvement activities.

• Coordinate with various departments and maintain compliance with all brokerage operations.

• Prepare required documents & procedures according to the respective applicable laws and

customer requirements

• Perform regular assessment of all harmonized tariff divisions & perform an assessment on the same

• Keep updated knowledge on all industry rules and regulations and inform employees and customers

accordingly through the Operations or Sales Department

• Help in conflict resolution and/or negotiation with BOC to rectify the challenges

• Act as a first escalation point for the brokerage department before timely escalating the issue to the

brokerage manager

• Monitor all customs clearance processes and ensure compliance with all Customs regulations &

duties.

• Perform other functions that may be assigned by the management from time to time.

• Trained and skilled in the use of brokerage related automated systems

• Very good knowledge regarding the customs laws, process, documentation, etc.

• Able to handle pressure and meet deadlines

• Very good communication skills both written and oral (including legal letters, MR, and Position

Papers)

Requirements

• Graduate of a course in BS Customs Administration

• Licensed Customs broker is an advantage

• At least 5 years of experience in brokerage services

• In-depth knowledge of freight forwarding and the total logistics industry

• Knowledgeable in BOC/ PEZA/BOI/DOF and other government agencies’ requirements

• Good business relations with BOC and brokers

• Proficient in MS office (word, excel
