Automotive Service Technician Responsibilities:

-Identify problems with vehicles using the diagnostic equipment.

-Explain automotive repairs and issues and provide great customer service.

-Maintaining your technical and mechanical skills.

-Possess a valid driver’s license for conducting test drives.

-Maintain a clean, safe working environment.

-Perform routine maintenance and general mechanic work on vehicles.

Automotive Service Technician Requirements:

-Graduate of Mechanical or Automotive Technology

-The ability to work independently.

-Managing overtime on service calls with patience and not rushing the job.

-Excellent customer service and communication skills.

-The ability to diagnose and solve problems based on customers' non-technical descriptions.

-Strong working knowledge of equipment and tools used in the industry

-Physical fitness to lift heavy equipment, work in confined spaces, and bend frequently.
