  • BRAND MANAGER JOB DESCRIPTION

    JOB SUMMARY

    The Brand Manager is responsible in developing and expanding the business by planning, forecasting, leading, organizing and controlling all sales activities towards maximum attainment of sales targets thereby ensuring profitability and market dominance.

    Directly reports to the Vice-President of Sales & Marketing and is an Executive level position. Assumes an active part in the achievement of the Company's key business objectives.

    MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

    A. ON SALES FUNCTIONS

    1. Management of all Brand related activities such as but not limited to:

    • Creation and Management of Product/Corporate Communications

    a. Printed Mats (Price lists and brochures)

    b. Non-printed (Audio visual/web based)

    2. Creation and management of campaigns that effective positive behavioral change in the market favorable to the company.

    3. Successful implementation of product launches, price surveys, customer-relations campaigns, customer database acquisition and management, support distribution programs, support product specific trade programs

    4. Establishes performance goals of direct reports and leads towards the achievement of corporate and division's agreed key results areas. Monitors performance in a regular and continuous basis.

    5. Develops and upgrades knowledge, skills and attitudes of direct reports through on-the-job coaching and counseling, training and other interventions. Inspires self-confidence among people and projects dynamism in order to build teamwork.

    6. Monitors the sales performance of competitors, maintains awareness of sales trends and new product lines in the market to ensure that the Company maintains its competitive position.

    7. Oversees preparation and control of sales budgets to ensure that all financial targets are met.

    8. Coordinates closely with Manufacturing Division, Marketing and Traffic Departments to ensure

    quality & adequate quantity of merchandise and timely delivery of stocks.

    B. ON PERSONNEL MANAGEMENT FUNCTIONS

    1. Establishes performance goals of direct reports and leads towards the achievement of corporate and division's

    agreed key results areas. Monitors performance in a regular and continuous basis.

    2. Develops and upgrades knowledge, skills and attitudes of direct reports through on-the-job coaching and counseling, training and other interventions. Inspires self-confidence among people and projects dynamism in order to build teamwork.

    3. Ensures discipline and compliance of executives and managers to Company rules and regulations. Retains those who are worth-keeping, with potentials and good performer. Recommends employee for dismissal.

    MINOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

    1. Evaluates gathered market information from primary and secondary sources to be able to plan necessary measures.

    2. Identifies key account officers in an account. Conducts account visitation to key business contacts.

    3. Attends social functions to promote strong business relations with dealers/clients.

    4. Ensures discipline and compliance of staff to company rules and regulations.

    JOB SPECIFICATION:

    A. EDUCATION : At least a Bachelor’s/College Degree in Marketing, Business Studies,

    Business Administration/Management or equivalent

    B. EXPERIENCE : At least five (5) years related experience in the same or similar capacity

    gained in a manufacturing or medium-sized company handling similar

    sales team set-up

    D. BREAK IN PERIOD : Six (6) months

    E. COMPETENCIES (CRITICAL SUCCESS FACTORS)

    WORK SCHED: Monday - Saturday 8AM TO 5PM
