  • QUALIFICATIONS:

    1. Must be a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Accountancy.

    2. Must have knowledge and understanding on the financial aspect of the hospital specifically on business and finance side of sections of the hospital.

    3. Must have a strong Cost systems background and have excellent analytical skills; sound understanding of accounting principles.

    4. Must have an eye for detail with excellent time management and organizational skills.

    5. Must be computer literate.

    6. Must have good interpersonal communication skills and good in oral and written communication.



    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    1. PRICING AND COSTING

    • Planning, Studying, and collecting data to determine costs of business activity such as raw material purchases, inventory, labor and overhead.

    • Analyzing data collected and recording results.

    • Analyzing changes in product design, raw materials, procedures and processes or services provided, to determine effects on cost, and provide recommendations as to prices.

    • Analyzing actual costs and preparing quarterly reports comparing standard costs to actual costs.

    • Recording cost information for use in controlling expenditures.

    • Making estimates of new and proposed product costs.

    • Coordinates with section heads regarding benchmarking and/or comparison of prices with competitors, and consider the same to hospital pricing.

    • Assist Audit Team in the Efficiency Audits and Financial Audits with regards to Costing and Pricing of the Sections.

    2. FINANCIAL ANALYSIS AND REPORTING

    • Providing management with reports specifying and comparing factors affecting prices and profitability of products or services.

    • Analyze and report profit margins.

    • Review standard and actual costs for inaccuracies.

    • Accumulate and apply overhead costs as required by generally accepted accounting principles and hospital costing policies.

    • Report on breakeven points by products sections.

    • Report on profit margins by product and sections.

    • Report on periodic variances and their causes, focusing in particular on spending variances.

    3. INVESTMENT ANALYSIS

    • Collect and analyse data for the financial analysis on new investments, services, and products of the hospital.

    • To prepare report on Cost of Investment, Cost and Saving Analysis, Efficiency Analysis, Projected Net Cash Flows, Payback Period, ROI, and Break-even Analysis for new investments of the hospital and provide recommendations based on this analysis to be reviewed by FAS Head.

    • Review previous investments made by the hospital and report to management of the performance of these investments from the time of acquisition.

    4. BUDGETING AND FINWELL

    • Assists Sections with CAPEX request in the preparation of feasibility study.

    5. GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

    • To contribute to team meetings and organizational priorities

    • To carry out other associated duties as may arise, develop or be assigned in line with the broad remit of the post.

    • To abide by organizational policies and practices, and the hospital’s Working Principles.
