  • Key Job Functions and Duties:

    • Understanding the business processes and the interdependencies of various systems in use

    • Analyzing complex system and system-related problems for the business unit and making recommendations for improvements or new designs

    • Identifying potential solutions for the business and providing input into any risks and issues

    • Updating/creating user and technical documentation procedures and manuals, operational support documentation, and archival of project documentation as needed

    • Presentation and interpretation of models, concepts, and strategies to explain unfamiliar concepts to stakeholders and management

    • Conduct effective facilitation sessions with multiple stakeholders

    • Participate in testing strategy, execution, calendar, scripts, traceability matrix, defect reviews and reporting defects

    • Assists with user acceptance testing planning and criteria specification for system and loan origination documents to meet business requirements.

    • Offer guidance and advice on what requirements and solutions will best fit a business’ needs, now and into the future

    • Work closely with key business decision makers as well as development and testing teams to ensure that the solution developed will meet the business’ requirements in an acceptable and sustainable way.

    • Experience in analyzing and reporting data trends, and be able to share that information with stakeholders and apply it on the business goals of the organization.

    Desired Experience & Qualities:

    • Four to seven years of experience in a Business Analyst role with demonstrated experience documenting use cases and functional requirements is required.

    • Business case analysis and cost based analysis skills are highly desirable

    • Ability to effectively lead cross-functional departments in eliciting requirements

    • Solid analytical, quantitative and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use statistical analysis and modeling

    • Financial process re-engineering experience and Business process management experience

    Qualifications and Accreditations:

    • IIBA certifications are a distinct advantage:

    o IIBA Certification of Competency in Business Analysis (CCBA)

    o IIBA Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP)

    o IIBA Agile Analysis Certification (AAC)

    • Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent experience in Information Technology, Computer Science or Business Management

    • MBA is a distinct advantage

    Reporting structure: The Business Analyst reports to the BA Departmental Head.
