  • PURPOSE

    The continuous change on Converge ICT’s business environment including high vulnerability on man-made and natural events and ongoing COVID-19 spread worldwide affects our business operation which necessitates creating a team to ensure that critical business processes and services are available and maintained during disruptions.

    The Business Continuity (BC) Specialist is responsible in the following areas:

    >Provide assistance on ensuring the BC Framework is implemented and followed enterprise-wide

    >Provide support to the BC Manager on the development and maintenance, and ensure effectiveness of Converge ICT’s BC policies and procedures to achieve a resilient organization

    >Provide support to the BC Manager in leading and sustaining the implementation of BC management programs and initiatives enterprise-wide

    >Participate in other organizational activities such as audits, employee engagement activity, and others

    QUALIFICATIONS

    >With Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Computer Science, Electronics and Communications Engineering, Disaster Management, or equivalent

    >Certificate of the Business Continuity Institute (CBCI), BCM Institute BCM Certification (e.g., BCCP, BCCS, BCCE), or similar certifications is a distinct advantage

    >With at least 2 years of experience in Business Continuity, Emergency Response, Incident Management, Crisis Management, and Business Recovery in a large-sized, multinational or local company with nationwide operations of at least 3,000-5,000 employees

    >With hands-on experience in the development and implementation of a Business Continuity Plan

    >With experience in risk assessment and identification of risk mitigation activities

    >With experience in facilitating Business Impact Analysis to establish the organization’s critical business functions and equivalent recovery objectives

    >With experience in Project Management

    >Preferably with relevant experience in Telecommunication or other public utilities industries

    >Knowledgeable in Risk and Business Continuity Management framework

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    BUSINESS CONTINUITY MANAGEMENT

    >Provide assistance, expertise, and recommendations to Enterprise Risk Head/ BC Manager/ management/ functional areas when a business disruption occurs, including emergency, incident, crisis, and recovery, for a rapid and effective response to situations

    Provide assistance on overseeing the effective execution of the actions

    BCM GOVERNANCE DOCUMENTS

    >Provide assistance to facilitate the establishment and updating of BC risk assessment, BIA, and BC mitigation and recovery strategies

    >>Analyze and consolidate department/group BC information for reporting

    >Provide assistance on the development, updating, and reviewing of BC-related governance documents to ensure that the organization can maintain critical functions and continue its daily business operations to the best of their ability in the face of disruptions

    BCP EXERCISE

    >Lead the conduct of BCP exercise to ensure effectiveness of BC governance documents and team members

    CAPACITY BUILDING

    >Provide assistance on planning and providing BC-related orientations/ trainings/ workshops to function across the organization

    >Provide hands-on support in the development of department/group level recovery plans, leveraging best practice

    >Develop BC-related advisories and bulletins

    BCM AUDIT AND ASSURANCE ACTIVITIES

    >Provide support on BCM-related audits and assurance activities for both internal and external

    >Provide assistance on reviewing findings and recommendations

    >Monitor, follow-up, and report whether agreed recommendations are implemented

    PROJECT MANAGEMENT

    >Provide assistance in BC projects, including preparation of Project Charter, proposals, cost benefit analysis, and other documentation

    OTHERS

    >Responsible for monitoring and reporting team budget

    >Provide updates to management, as applicable

    >Perform other related duties and responsibilities that may be assigned by the BC Manager
