  • Job Summary:

    The Business Planning Analyst is responsible for building, maintaining and analyzing reference information (e.g., key performance indicators, financials, operating cost drivers, etc) for use by the company at management level. The analyst is also expected to have a thorough understanding of the financials of the Company and its various subsidiaries and departments. The analyst should be able to apply managerial accounting tools and techniques such as Financial Statements analysis, cost accounting, cost-benefits analysis, capital budgeting, model-building, and mergers & acquisitions evaluation, among others in order to support management decisions. The analyst should be willing to provide technical and admin support to the department when needed. The individual must be flexible and be able to perform independently, with peers and other business units.

    Statement of Responsibilities:

    Support development, enhancement, and maintenance of database extracted from ERPs (e.g., NAV, SAP) and other business tools/software (e.g., Cognos, PowerBI). Said database will serve as repository of historical and projected business information and plans

    Evaluate datasets for quality, consistency, completeness, accuracy and reasonableness

    Interact with various units/departments to obtain data requirements

    Track and analyze business trends, correlate metrics and make appropriate recommendations that will positively impact the unit/company

    Support the department's increasing database, analytics, and both regular and ad hoc reporting requirements

    Address any issues, questions and problems in an accurate and timely manner

    Create a database for sorting data dictionaries and troubleshooting problems

    Analyze financial and business performance of the organization and identify possible financial and business strategies to drive attainment of business objectives which include occupancy, revenue, growth, and net income growth

    Analyze actual compared to standard costs for ongoing expenses, and identify opportunities and risk

    Assist in developing budget, annual operating plans, and estimating new product costs

    Perform cost-benefit and capital budgeting analyses, and recommend improvements to reduce costs

    Keep abreast of least developments in ERP and related IT Systems, including global and local trends, and provide insights/recommendations.


    Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering / Accountancy / Financial Management, or any Finance-related course

    Minimum Relevant Work Experience: 2-3 years work experience in the related field

    Other Qualifications:

    With strong financial background, including the use of ERP Systems (e.g., NAV, SAP)

    Proficient in MS Excel, Powerpoint, and preferably knowledgeable in other business tools/software (e.g., Cognos, PowerBI)

    Adept in data processing and managing time-bound projects

    Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills

    Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and proactive

    Working Condition: Office Based
