  • • Must be thoroughly familiar with all phases of daily kitchen work and operation.

    • Check all units of kitchen area – cold, hot, stewarding, etc.

    • Supervise cooks and cook helpers in order to produce quality food.

    • Check quality and quantity of supplies issued to the different kitchen areas.

    • Plan and supervise counter service to facilitate continuous work flow.

    • Assign employees specific duties during service period.

    • Instruct subordinates on size of serving portion, proper utensils to be used, etc.

    • Ensure that hot food is served hot and cold food is served cold.

    • Supervise the storage and utilization of leftovers.

    • Supervise the maintenance of cleanliness in all kitchen area and the observance of sanitary practice of all kitchen staff.

    • Responsible for checking availability of all items for breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner period.

    • Make necessary adjustments to allow for utilization of food on hand. Should consult superior in case of shortage of supply.

    • Prepare requisition of food and other supplies and submit to superior for approval.

    • Perform other duties as may be required by superiors.

  • Years of experience: 5
