    The Claims Assistant reports to the Assistant Manager – Non Motor Claims and is tasked to process Personal Accident claims. This includes receiving information from clients and entering appropriate information into the claims database of the company.


    1. Checks documents received from claimant or intermediary and ensure their correctness.

    2. Encodes all reported Personal Accident claims in the GENWEB and set up the loss reserve.

    3. Evaluate each claim and make necessary recommendation.

    4. Assigns the claim to an independent adjuster if needed.

    5. Communicates with adjusters, claimants, the insured and other parties to determine liability and coverage.

    6. Prepares in house reports and computes probable liability if compensable.

    7. Attend to inquiries pertaining to the account/s he is handling and provide information as necessary.

    8. Maintains proper files for claims by collecting and organizing relevant documents and set up new claims using the company system.

    9. Keep up to date with insurance product knowledge .

    10. Develop plans for investigation of claims and gather all necessary documents and information.

    11. Perform other functions as maybe necessary to achieve the fulfillment of assigned task .
