    Position Details:

    Title: Content Writer

    Scope and Purpose:

    A Content Writer has many duties and responsibilities. Under the direction of the Account Manager or the Client, the Content Writer is responsible for the writing and creation of product descriptions, social media content, and content copy for specific projects such as websites, print, or other digital media.

    The Content Writer is responsible for helping to drive the value of the website through the online content. He/she must have a high level of creativity and the ability to use data-driven insights to write excellent website content. The Content Writer must have very good knowledge of keyword research, copywriting, and the behavior of consumers. You shall also assist in the accomplishment of project goals and contribute to the successful performance of the assigned project.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities May Include:

    Familiarity and/or willing to be trained on CRM

    Social Media Management (Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter)

    Drive leads and subscribers to the website using SEO best practices to generate website traffic

    Coordinates effort with Web Developer and/or SEO Specialist to fill in content that interests consumers

    Develops, writes, and delivers persuasive copy, email marketing campaigns, sales collateral, and videos

    Coordinates new or revised policies and standard operating procedures in conjunction with the project team

    Maintains professional knowledge of the web content online community, trends, and industry developments

    Produces various content types such as email, social media posts, blogs, and white papers

    Utilizes correct English grammar, spelling, and punctuation for excellent online readability

    Identifies consumer needs and the gaps in site contents that would address those needs

    Builds and manages an editorial calendar and coordinates it with project team members

    Researches client-related industry topics using online sources, interviews, and studies

    Maintains an active presence on social platforms to keep a broad reaching network

    Identifies powerful keywords to drive the most valuable traffic to the client website

    Coordinates with marketing and design personnel to illustrate website content

    Constantly communicates with Project staff to develop and deploy content

    Analyzes Client industry content and develops new ideas for web content

    Updates website content to stay on top of marketing trends and practices

    Creates landing pages that persuade the reader to take some action(s)

    Collaborates with the project team to create innovative content ideas

    Analyzes content marketing metrics and makes changes as needed

    Writes clear marketing copy to promote client products/services

    Proofreads and pitches articles to relevant third-party platforms

    Creates content for sales copy, podcasts, and text for graphics

    Edits content produced by other members of the project team

    Creates websites utilizing standard HTML/CSS practices

    Researches, writes, and edits client website content

    Regularly attends project meetings as required

    Promotes content on social media platforms

    Edits web pages for on-screen readability

    Proofreads final drafts of web pages

    Skills & Qualifications:

    BA or BS degree from an accredited college or university in English, journalism, communications, marketing, creative writing, linguistics, or related discipline (Master’s degree is a plus)

    Knowledge of various web formatting tools, such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript and content management systems

    Knowledge of digital marketing tactics, including SEO, email marketing, and web analytics

    Excellent English language skill including grammar, writing, speaking, and research skills

    Knowledge of keyword research using Google AdWord is a plus

    Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

    Detail-oriented and a high level of accuracy in work product

    Proficient in Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Gmail, Calendar)

    Willing to adopt a fast-paced working environment

    Good time management and multitasking skills

    Ability to work independently and meticulously

    Very good computer skills; computer literate

    Good organizational and prioritization skills

    Ability to work well under pressure

    Able to demonstrate initiative

    High level of intelligence


    A minimum of 2-3 years of experience writing English language content for business-to-business and business-to-consumer audiences

    A minimum of 1-2 years of social media, e-commerce, or copywriter experience

    Experience using WordPress, Weebly, and/or Joomla is preferred

    Experience using Google Analytics

    Working Conditions:

    Working Schedule: UK Business Hours - 4 pm to 1 am Philippine Time

    Walking, standing, reaching, pulling, speaking, hearing, etc. abilities are required to operate within the environment.

    Duties are performed within an open office environment using office computer equipment.

    Involves regularly sitting in front of and utilizing a computer.
