  • POSITION : COOK 1

    DEPARTMENT : FOOD & BEVERAGE

    REPORT TO DIRECT : HEAD CHEF / MANAGER

    INDIRECT : SUPERVISOR

    BASIC FUNCTIONS

    To produce all types of food as instructed by the Head Chef in a professional way. Ensures quality and consistency and fully responsible for his assigned section.

    PRIMARY DUTIES

    1. Reports for work as scheduled properly groomed and in complete uniform.

    2. Strictly adheres and observes safety and health standards.

    3. Checks endorsements and reads the Communication logbook.

    4. At the beginning of each meal period, checks used-record to determine if estimates match actual production. Records any other use adjustments necessary including leftovers at the end of each meal period.

    5. Coordinates all food productions needs for all areas of responsibility.

    6. Ensures the production of consistently high quality food.

    7. Provides information on 86 items and push items.

    8. Closely monitors production to avoid potential waste of food and loss of quality.

    9. Prepares requisitions for scheduled food production.

    10. Prepares list of items requisition needed for his station ( supplies, condiments, others )

    11. Ensures production is sufficient according to par levels.

    12. Ensures quality and freshness of all food preparation following standard presentation.

    13. Observes FIFO and LILO stock rotation.

    14. Operates all wares and equipment in his assigned section.

    15. Takes responsibility for the wastage and try to minimize the spoilage. Records spoilages accordingly.

    16. Establishes and maintains good relationship among the team.

    17. Follows restaurant and company policies at all times.

    18. Performs any other duties as assigned by superiors.

    19. Submits Daily Inventory and Daily Production Report for the following day’s report.

    20. Monitors the temperature.

    21. Performs basic preventive maintenance on equipment.

    22. Extends cooperation among colleagues and promotes teamwork in the workplace.

    23. Knows what to do in an event of an emergency ( earthquake, fire ).
