  • Other duties will include consulting and leading all corporate legal processes such as mergers, compliance issues, transactions, partnerships, and lawsuits. The successful candidate will have outstanding negotiation and communication skills, with sharp attention to detail.

    • Deal with issues pertaining to business transactions.
    • Draft client agreements, negotiate employment contracts or write purchase agreements.

    • Evaluate new business partnerships with vendors and subcontractors.
    • Represent the company in legal proceedings.
    • Design and oversee the company’s policy and position on legal matters.
    • Protect the company against legal risks and violations.
    • Examine the legal issues related to new products and services.
    • Negotiate deals on behalf of the company.
    • Guide management on regulatory and compliance issues to ensure compliance with legal regulations.
    • Review company paperwork, particularly contracts, and draft business documents.
    • Researching, writing and editing commercial reports.
    • This might entail examining national, international and local laws to identify any rules they must follow or conflicts that might arise.
    • The documents they write may be related to establishing or dissolving a business, merging two businesses, creating sales contracts, establishing non-compete clauses or changing a business's organizational structure. When necessary, commercial lawyers collaborate with other lawyers, clients or government agencies to execute paperwork or complete transactions. They may also engage in negotiations on behalf of their clients.
    • Lawyers execute common litigation activities, including negotiation, legal writing, oral advocacy and counseling.
    • Must have a working knowledge of the legal principles that govern the employer-employee relationship.
    • Knowledgeable on Fair Labor Standards Act, the Occupational Health and Safety Act, and workers compensation laws.
    • Employment lawyers may be hired to represent employers or employees in unemployment cases, pension disputes, benefit claims and contract disagreements.

    • Bachelor’s degree in Law.
    • Licensed to practice law from the State Bar Association.
    • A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a corporate lawyer.
    • Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
    • Highly analytical with a strong attention to detail.
    • Outstanding managerial and negotiation skills.
