  • Responsibilities

    ● Validate, investigate, and document the customer's concerns back to Sun call and ensure timely corrective actions to take place.

    ● Monitor and take necessary actions to the Philippines Operation Site(IMI: Integrated Micro-Electronics, Inc.) to maintain the expected inspection capability including inspection quality, unit per hour(UPH).

    ● Seek customer timely approval on a process or material changes initiated by Suncall. Provide explanation, clarification, and background on the change to get customer's acceptance.

    ● Educate and update the customer on quality criteria and specification changes-aim at improving lot acceptance and minimize specification differences.

    ● Support Suncall Supply Chain Processes as-needed basis to ensure uninterrupted product flow into the customer's site.

    ● Publish weekly progress reports on key quality and program issues internally to keep everyone updated.

    ● Provided accurate and timely information to Suncall's CCB(Customer Complains Bulletin) database and follow-up to ensure timely corrective actions are applied.

    ● Coordinate correlation and calibration activities at the customer source inspection area to minimize differences and reduce lot rejection.

    ● Provide technical support on measurement equipment consigned to the Philippines operation site (IMI).

    ● Understand the customer program qualification process and work to minimize suspension related delays in the process, to support Suncall become a qualified supplier on a new program and obtain higher account shares.

    ● Conduction update meetings with the customer to provide quality improvement updates and progress reports.

    ● Gather competitive and market information and report to Suncall for competitive analysis. This includes yield data, competitor problems/issues, etc.


    (1)Language: Fluent English (ability to read, write and speak English required)

    (2)Minimum Technical Qualifications:

    ● Bachelor degree in Engineering, prefer Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electronics, Material

    ● 3 years of engineering related work in quality assurance, supplier quality engineering

    ● 3-5 years of technical disk drive industry experience.

    ● 3 years of working experience for US or Japanese company

    ● Experience managing a certified quality management system(e.g..ISO9000)

    ● Experience training for quality inspectors or manufacturing operators.

    ● Experience using the following items

    - SPC control

    - Statistical analysis for quality control

    - profile Projector

    -Computer literacy including Excel, PowerPoint, Word

    (3)Preferred technical Qualifications:

    ● Experience using CNC measurement equipment

    ● Experience program correction of CNC measurement equipment

    ● Experience using Excel macro (e.g.Excel VBA)

    ● Experience installation of measurement equipment

    (4)Working Conditions

    ● Must be comfortable working in an "on-call" environment

    ● Must be able to travel within and outside the country frequently and over a period of a short stay.
