  • Position: Engineering Manager

    Job Summary:

    This role is primarily responsible in leading the team in planning, structural designing, cost management and construction management of the infrastructure projects of the company. Ensure compliance with the basic building codes, municipality and other requirements to be considered. Lead the construction team in implementing and interpreting the plans and Contract Agreement attaining the most economical and fastest method of construction with high degree of quality.

    Planning and Design

    • Conduct/Assist in Feasibility & Technical Studies

    • Meet with the team about the concept of the building, discussed the materials to be used, budget parameters, restrictions from the city/municipality engineers and target completion date.

    • Review with the team and discuss each design making sure that there is no conflict and overlapping of design.

    • Responsible in finalizing the plans and costing

    • Conduct bidding in coordination with Purchasing Department and/or request proposals for the awarding of specialty works and/or materials to be used. Evaluates bid proposals and prepare recommendations to the President.

    • Assist the Purchasing Department in finding bidders/suppliers. Help in bid evaluation and preparing Contract Agreement for the winning bidder/supplier

    • Finalize with Project Engineer the work, budget, resources and equipment schedule

    Construction Phase

    • Closely coordinate with the team that will handle the projects and discuss the parameters of the design, budget, time and strategies to construct.

    • Oversee project cleanliness and make sure safety policies are being implemented.

    • Oversee of resources making sure the stocks are sufficient for the on-going and next activities.

    • Closely coordinate with the construction team of company’s standard especially in water proofing works to minimize leaks complains in the future.

    • Checks and approved billing of sub-contractors and prepare recommendation for payment.

    • Attend weekly construction meeting to make sure everything is going as planned.

    • Coach and mentoring the Project Engineer in dealing with new Client, consultant, and technology

    Requirements:

    • A Licensed Civil Engineer is required for this position.

    • Must have at least 3-5 year (s) Managerial background

    • With background in Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) Contractor.

    • Experience in Planning and Structural Design, Cost/ Value Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Mngt., preferably with background in high-rise/mid-rise building.

    • Highly organized, results driven, ability to handle multiple tasks and adheres to deadlines

    • Ability to lead people & handle project management

    • Willing to travel for site visits
