  • 2.1 Performs job functions consistent with the Institution’s mission and vision statements and the Salesian values and charism; Provides Salesian assistance to students.
    2.2 Assists the subject area / shop head in the preparation of the academic curriculum and undertakes the preparation of the course syllabi; Plans and develops learning objectives and appropriate learning experiences for the class.
    2.3 Participates in the selection of instructional guides and tools as well as assessment and evaluation procedures, and recommends textbooks and related learning resources for use by the students.
    2.4 Undertakes classroom management and delivery of instructions through teaching, proctoring, mentoring and advising following the prescribed syllabus.
    2.5 Participates in the preparation and implementation of homeroom guidance modules (for grade / high school) personal enrichment and group dynamics activities (for TVET).
    2.6 Undertakes coordination with academic administrators on the development, implementation, and evaluation of co – and extra-curricular activities.
    2.7 Checks worksheets, notebooks, evaluative examinations, projects, and assignments of students.
    2.8 Participates in group deliberations to assess and evaluate students in the areas of academic/technical honors and special awards, conduct, year-end evaluation.
    2.9 Diagnoses the needs and monitors the progress of students through teacher made or diagnostic, achievement, pre-post tests, etc.; Discusses and explains grading standard and other course requirements to the students.
    2.10 Ensures the safety, proper decorum and behavior of students inside the classroom and within the compound.
    2.11 Undertakes student consultation and academic advising; Undertakes consultation to discuss academic and/or personal problems of students with individual students, parents, administrators or other faculty members; Refers students to discipline and/or guidance office as may be necessary; attends case conferences to determine remedial or developmental interventions for students;
    2.12 Provides remediation / enrichment instruction whenever needed.
    2.13 Conducts scholarly researches in consonance with the thrusts of the Institution.
    2.14 Undertakes community extension services / social action programs involving the students to complement the academic programs.
    2.15 Attends internal and external Institutional activities such as spiritual formation, retreats and recollections, committee meetings, general assemblies, conventions, convocations, programs, and special activities.
    2.16 Serves as a class adviser and / or club moderator when appointed.
    2.17 Performs such other duties and responsibilities analogous, germane or related to and/or implied from the above enumeration of duties and responsibilities.
