1. Create and establish Pharmacy goals and objectives, policies, procedures, workflows and job descriptions to improve pharmacy service
2. Participate in the hospital’s Medication Safety & Therapeutics Committee and other department/divisional hospital committees, as required, where such committees exist
3. Assure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements to effectively render hospital pharmacy services. (DOH, PDEA, FDA)
4. Responsible for the semi-annual report submission on Dangerous Drugs
5. Oversee the dispensing of Dangerous Drugs in accordance with the approved requirements
6. Supervise and maintain operations of the department ensuring safe, accurate and efficient dispensing of medications
7. Review all regulatory compliance material to guarantee accuracy, timeliness, comprehensiveness and obedience with regulatory standards
8. Prepare the annual budget and expense of Pharmacy Department
9. Keep up-to-date pharmacy practices, new drugs and their uses
10. Compound chemo meds and pharmacovigilance,
11. Report directly to the Chief Operations Officer
12. Perform other duties that may be assigned from time to time
Skills and Qualifications
1. Licensed Pharmacist or Pharmacologist
2. With at least 9 units of Master's Degree
3. Knowledgeable of drug regulations, medical/pharmaceutical terminology and generic/trade names of commonly prescribed medications
4. Knowledge on regulatory compliance pertaining to the dispensing and the use of prescription drugs including controlled substances
5. Knowledge on compounding of prescriptions and pharmaceutical preparations.
Strong leadership skills
Work Location: Bay, Laguna (with staff housing provision)
