  • RESPONSIBILITIES
    • To coordinate, support and advise the business on all aspects with regard to Health and Safety.
    • To establish, manage and monitor standards, processes, communications, training and systems to ensure all responsibilities associated with health and safety are adhered to.

    DUTIES
    • Investigating/recording incidents, accidents, complaints and cases of ill health
    • Undertaking risk assessments and site inspections
    • Ensuring that equipment is installed correctly/safely
    • Indentifying potential hazards
    • Determining ways of reducing risks
    • Writing internal health and safety policies/strategies
    • Compiling Statistics
    • Writing reports, bulletins and newsletters
    • Providing health and safety meetings and training courses for employees
    • Keeping up to date and ensuring compliance with current health and safety legislation
    • Ensure a safe workplace environment without risk to health
    • Ensure that all health and safety policies, procedures, rules and regulation are adhered to and are regularly reviewed, updated and communicated.
    • Ensure that all accidents are documented, investigated and recommended improvements implemented.
    • Ensure that safety inspections are carried out, fire drills and fire alarms are correctly reported, safety inspection, risk assessments and lone working procedures are managed and employees are aware of their responsibilities.

    QUALIFICATIONS
    • Candidate must at least Bachelor’s/Degree in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic), Engineering (Mechanical) or Equivalent.
    • At least 5 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
    • Must be accredited by DOLE-Bureau of Working Condition as Safety Practitioner and a member of any safety organization.
    • Preferably Supervisor 5 Yrs and Up Experienced Employee specialized in Engineering – Environmental/Health/Safety or Equivalent.
    • Must be familiar with DOLE’s Safety Standards and could identify hazards at workplace and observe proper work procedures.
    • Required Skill(s): Knowledge in Safety Standards and specifications, Result oriented with sound decision making, Good interpersonal and analytical skills, Computer Literate, Proficient in both oral and written communication.
