  • Under the direct supervision of Procurement Head, processes documents for the company’s importation and exportation; deals and coordinates with Bureau of Customs and Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) for the company’s needed equipment and other raw materials requested by production to farm out materials for fabrication and other subcon works outside PEZA zone.

    1. Communicates/deals with Bureau of Customs and Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) to discuss and justify the usage and reason of importation and secures importation approval.

    2. Secures Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) forms such as 8105/8106 forms and other documentation to facilitate the entry and exit of the vessel to company premise during dry docking and sailing period with corresponding local fees.

    3. Prepares request letter and other documents with PEZA to secure Letter of Authority (LOA) to bring in and out materials required by subcontractors and other spares from vessel for repair.

    4. Secures Import Permit through Value Added Service Provider (VASP) System for clearance purposes of all imported articles.

    5. Prepares liquidation as per LOA requirements and PEZA regulations.

    6. Checks and reviews shipping documents such as Bill of Lading, Airway Bills, Commercial Invoices and Packing Lists including Load Port Survey Report (LPSR) if required as well as equipment and materials specification prior to the application of request for importation approval prepared by the foreign suppliers to ensure details of items/descriptions are correct and avoid delays during clearing of cargos with BOC and PEZA.

    7. Prepares shipment status report to inform the Top Management and Project Team about the status of the requested materials and equipment.

    8. Coordinates with company’s forwarder and custom broker in clearing and delivery of goods.

    9. Communicates with PEZA, Customs and foreign suppliers to highlight and avoid potential problems during clearing once the goods arrived.

    10. Performs other tasks which may be assigned by the immediate superior from time to time.
