  • Position Title : INVENTORY - CASHIER

    Immediate Superior : Treasury Officer

    Position Summary :

    Responsible for maintaining outstanding customer service as per Company standards, processing sales quickly, accurately and efficiently, cash register operations and safeguarding company assets / properties.


    a. Receives sales slips from Sales staff

    b. Accepts payment by cash, check, credit cards.

    c. Issues receipts, refunds, invoices, or change due to customers

    d. Encodes sales slip and receipts to prepare gate pass

    e. Stamps the Gate Pass “PAID” and gives it to dispatcher for items for delivery, or to Sale Staff if item is for pick-up and/or give the item right away

    f. Counts money in cash drawers at the beginning of shifts to ensure that amounts are correct and that there is adequate change.

    g. Establishes or identifies prices of goods, or services and tabulates bills using calculators, cash registers, or optical price scanners.

    h. Calculate total payments received during a time period, and reconcile this with total sales.

    i. Prepares Daily Collection Report

    l. Maintains an awareness of all promotions and advertisements and promotes them to customers.

    m. Communicates customer requests to management, if any.

    n. Maintains orderly and clean appearance of register area and supplies stocked.

    o. Answers customers' questions, and provide information on procedures or policies.

    p. Any other tasks as assigned from time to time by any manager.


    I. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

    a) Ability to process information/merchandise through register system

    b) Ability to communicate with sales personnel and customers

    c) Ability to read, count and write accurately to complete all documentation

    d) Readable penmanship

    e) Basic mathematical skills

    f) Good oral and written communication skills

    g) Computer literate

    II. Education – At least graduate of any four-year course

    III. Experience – at least 1 year of related working experience, an advantage.

    IV. Personality / Attributes

    a) Can relate harmoniously with a variety of people

    b) Can work under pressure

    c) Highly customer service oriented

    d) Ability to work varied hours/days including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed
