    Description


  • The employee shall plan, organize, direct, supervise and evaluate over-all dietary activities particularly in the management of the food service system and interpret doctors’ dietary prescription by carrying out dietary orders for patients’ total health improvement using the principles of basic nutrition. Specifically the employee will take the following responsibility;

    ADMINISTRATIVE

    1. Plan, develop, implement and evaluate food supply requirement of personnel within set budgeting limitations.
    2. Assist in the establishment of specification and purchases of food supplies and small equipment to meet menu and other dietary needs.
    3. Participate in facility planning and selection of equipment
    4. Establish a long and short term goals for smooth flow of services
    5. Develop and maintain an organizational chart of the department including line of authority of personnel.
    6. Delegate responsibilities appropriately to personnel
    7. Participate in conferences of department heads and professional and community services.
    8. Coordinate dietary activities to other departments
    9. Establish and maintain effective lines of communication
    10. Maintain high standards of sanitation and housekeeping in the entire department
    11. Performs other related tasks which may be assigned from time to time

    FOOD PRODUCTION

    1. Plan, develop, implement and evaluate preparation, cooking and apportioning of food for patients and other customers within the set budget in accordance with nutritional status of patients and other customers.
    2. Maintain a record of planned control services
    3. Analyze, develop and update job specifications of work schedules
    4. Recommend for improvement of facilities and equipment
    5. Participate in the budget development for a more effective system implementation
    6. Performs other related tasks which may be assigned from time to time

    FOOD SERVICE

    1. Monitor food service for conformity with quality standards
    2. Check food prepared prior to serving
    3. Supervise food distribution
    4. Performs other related tasks which may be assigned from time to time
