  • RESPONSIBILITES AND TASKS:

    • Ensuring that discharge requests are processed in a timely and accurate manner.

    • Dealing with and addressing enquiries raised by solicitors, mortgage managers and borrowers

    • Responding to discharges-related calls/emails/tasks (TDIs) received to Retention team before instructing panel solicitor

    • Sending discharge instructions to panel solicitors and trustees

    • Verifying details provided in the request in accordance with the instructions; ensuring accuracy of all processing within the operating system

    • Monitoring of list of discharging loans and ensuring that the information received from the parties involved in the discharge are duly noted

    • Ensuring SLAs, compliance and quality standards are met on a daily basis or as advised by the Team Leader

    • Assisting Team Leader, team members and other relevant staff with Settlements-related matters; taking inbound calls (overflows) and messages for Customer Service

    • Providing indicative and/or final payout figures when requested given that approval has been confirmed.

    • Ordering of security packets/loan agreements from the trustee

    • Posting of all discharges-related payment; updating the Discharges Masterlist

    • Generating closing statements

    • Sending confirmation reports to Accounts for all invoices received from trustee

    • Actioning other tasks or duties due to business exigencies or as deemed necessary by Management to achieve business goals

    KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES:

    • Preferably with banking and financial related job experience and a basic understanding about mortgages

    • With Australian Mortgage experience is an advantage

    • Understanding of discharges process for home loans

    • Strong management skill, able to work well under pressure and on flexible schedule

    • Exhibit professional demeanour

    • Ability to communicate in writing in a professional manner

    • Good attention to detail and excellent analytical skills

    • Ability to follow and understand instructions and procedures

    • Good planning, organising and multi-tasking skills

    • Must have proficiency with various software applications programs including e-mail messaging applications

    • Ability to provide insight based on analysis

    • Self-motivated and has knowledge-sharing mentality

    • Ability to work on deadlines and independently with less supervision

    • Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's/College Degree in any field.

    • At least 1 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
