  • Job Description:

    • Directs and coordinates activities of workers engaged in Customer Service Activities.

    • Plans, prepares, and devises work schedules according to budgets and workloads

    • Observes and evaluates workers performance

    • Issues instructions and assigns duties to workers

    • Trains and instructs Employees

    • Communicates with other departments and management to resolve problems and expedite work.

    • Interprets and communicates work procedures and company policies to staff.

    • Helps workers to resolve problems and completing work.

    • Plans, develops and improves work procedures as needed.

    • Makes recommendations to management concerning staff and improvement of procedures

    • Identifies researches and, when possible, resolves customer service issues and/or ensures resolution.

    • When possible, averts and/or diffuses potential customer problems.

    • Identifies and communicates problems in freight allocation and pallet build-up to terminal services and/or management and ensures resolution.

    • Identifies, contracts customers and books cargo when necessary to fill flights.

    • When requested, calculates, analyzes, and provides appropriate spot rates to customers.

    • Assists supervisor of customer service in identification of other internal departments’ potential and/or current problems and/or needs relating to customer service and works with departments to resolve

    • Assists sales in determining priorities for freight based on company or management defined parameters.

    • Communicates with regional sales manager and terminal service manager on ongoing basis.

    • Responds to customers’ questions, problems, requests, and/or complaints.

    • Provides assistance in sales, including booking of “light” flights and providing appropriate spot rates to customers.

    • Complete, plan, flight booking sheets.

    • Traces missing cargo and follow-up on tracers.

    • Completes sales lead forms and provides to Sales.

    • Creates sales priorities, communicates priorities to terminal services and monitors allocation of freight to flights.

    Qualifications:

    • High school or equivalent work experience

    • Demonstrates proficiency in, MS Office: Excel, and Word, and Outlook

    • Understands and uses company reports utilized by customer service

    • Applies interpersonal, communication, and telephone skills.

    • Applies understanding of aircraft cargo loading capacities.

    • Applies understanding of air cargo industry and competition.

    • Three years airline customer service or cargo-related experience

    • Experience in handling cargo, shipment, and logistics
