  • PAYROLL ACCOUNTANT

    Location: Caloocan

    Salary: 23K to 40K

    Full Time

    Summary:

    1.Performs regular payroll processing:

    - Receives and process the following documents:

    - Faculty workload

    - Timekeeping report

    - Support documents, such as, but not limited to:

    - Approved faculty load

    - Class schedule

    - Leave utilization report

    - Adjustment reports

    - Longevity pay

    - Honorarium report

    - Daily attendance sheet

    1.1.2 Checks and verifies completeness and accuracy of documents submitted;

    1.1.3 Coordinates with concerned Colleges and Department on deviations or discrepancies observed;

    1.1.4 Encodes payroll-related data into the system;

    1.1.5 Derives and views time sheets and attendance processing module and performs interfacing with payroll module;

    1.1.6 Generates payroll register:

    1.1.6.1 Checks system entries against declared documents;

    1.1.6.2 Checks system entries against system-generated attendance sheets;

    1.1.6.3 Checks credits and deductions against support documents;

    1.1.6.4 Checks credits of incentives and benefits when applicable;

    1.1.6.5 Recommends payroll register for validation of Immediate Superior

    1.1.7 Reconciles and resolves discrepancies on working papers against the system data;

    1.1.8 Prepares related bank reports for bank credit;

    1.1.9 Prints and issues payslips;

    1.1.10 Generates Tax, SSS, Pag-ibig, Philhealth contributions and other payroll reports for both internal and external purpose;

    1.1.11 Prepares and submit payroll-related reports to Immediate Superior for review;

    1.1.12 Posts earnings and deductions to individual payroll card;

    1.1.13 Reconciles discrepancies between recorded payroll transactions against payroll records;

    1.1.14 Extends customer service to employees by answering payroll-related queries;

    1.1.15 Coordinates and interacts with government agencies on issues pertaining to employee compensation and deductions;

    1.1.16 Encodes updates and changes on tax, SSS, Pag-ibig and Philhealth contribution table.

    1.1.17 Assists in the improvement of payroll system and processes;

    1.1.18 Computes final pay of resigned employees;

    1.1.19 Checks accuracy of data stated in the SOFAL applications, computes the amount of loans to be given to regular employees and monitors monthly SOFAL loan balance;

    1.1.20 Maintains payroll records management for future reference;

    1.1.21 Performs other related tasks as assigned.

    COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS:

    1.KNOWLEDGE

    1.1 aptitude for working with numbers – generally accepted accounting principles and their applications;

    1.2 with updated understanding of current accepted accounting practices, policies and standards

    1.3 working knowledge on data entry procedure- such as accounting software, creation of spreadsheets, etc.

    2 SKILLS:

    2.1 computer proficiency – payroll software and its application

    2.2 inter-personal skills – ability to harmoniously work with both internal and external contacts

    2.3 Organizational skills- ability to meet schedules and deadlines, preparation of detailed reports

    2.4 Multi-tasking- in fast-paced operation but high level of accuracy

    2.5 Strong analytical skills – utilizing relationship of numbers and deriving sound recommendations with the financial records on hand;

    2.6 Equipment operation – ability to operate basic office machines, such as computer system, fax machine, scanner, printer, copier

    2.7 Priority skills – ability to manage tasks/workloads within the schedule of work or standard practices.

    3 EDUCATIONAL ATTAINMENT:

    BS Accountancy or Business Administration or any related 4-year course

    4 EXPERIENCE:

    With one (1) year hands-on experience in academic set-up
