Job Summary:

- Collate information related to employee payroll information

- Prepare payroll instructions and reports that include summaries of earnings, deductions, leave, compassionate leave and non taxable wages, among others.

- Check payroll data, taxes, and its computation to ensure that compensation is accurate.

- Prepare or compute the final pay

- Resolve payroll discrepancies and provide answers to any employee payroll queries as a matter of urgency.

- Assist management in relation to projects or requests for salary projection or analysis

- Perform reconciliation of payroll data against the general ledger

- Provide reports needed by upper management or Finance team

- Perform other duties as may be assigned from time to time

Requirements:

-More than 3 years as a payroll staff

-Proven expertise as payroll specialist

-Understanding of accounting fundamentals and payroll best practices

-Must be knowledgeable of wage withholding orders.

-Ability to analyze and reconcile payroll data against the general ledger

-Strong computer skills such as typing, system and software knowledge.

-Accurate data entry skills with great attention to detail.

-Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

-Good client service skills

-Effective team player.

-Ability to multitask in a stressful environment with specific deadlines.

-Ability to work independently in a time sensitive environment.

-Trustworthy and able to handle confidential information
