    CommiPlus was founded by lifelong chef and restaurateur team Jen and Jeremy Slagle. Chef Jen heads the company as Executive Chef and CEO. Both Le Cordon Bleu-Paris Alumni, Chefs Jen and Jeremy have worked in Michelin star restaurants across Paris, Las Vegas and San Francisco.

    Now based in Manila, the two chefs are the creators of Launch Lab Consulting, under which they developed some of Manila’s most dynamic concepts in casual dining. Chef Jen then founded CommiPlus as an all-in-one development, production and support company for these restaurants and food businesses.

    As Production Line Cook I, you will be at the core of our production and operations. Proper mise en place will be critical to the execution of your work. You should have a keen eye for quality, ability to correctly execute techniques and procedures, and also to conduct sensory evaluations of products. Your work will be what most represents our company.

    Core responsibility:
    Sensory evaluation to ensure the quality of production
    Conformance to the to the standard techniques turned over from Executive Chef and Corporate Chef
    Comply with QA standards to ensure production operations comply with food safety and quality standards
    Follows professional hygiene and cleanliness standards, including good handwashing practices, sanitizing of work areas and equipment, and avoiding cross contamination at all times
    Handles foods at correct temperatures, and avoids danger zone temperature holding of foods
    Good knife skills
    Ability to handle ingredients and raw materials properly to ensure their maximum quality and shelf life
    Uses cleaning supplies and chemicals correctly, including proper dilutions, proper labelling, following manufacturer instructions and never mixing chemicals
    Ability to navigate a production kitchen and handle equipment safely, uses audible verbal warnings to alert co-workers of hazards in kitchen
    Promptly reports all food quality, food safety and maintenance issues to supervisor

    Culinary/HRM diploma or equivalent work experience
    1-2 years experience in a high volume production kitchen
    Verbal and written communication and English skills
    Certification and training in SERVSAFE or any similar food safety training programs (HACCP, GMP etc)
    Organizational and communication skills
    Desire to help build a growing company in support of the F&B industry
