  • Project Financial Management

    • Raise, Track and monitor purchase order in alignment with company’s purchase control processes
    • Track and monitor program/project financials including spend actuals and exception reporting for forecast deviation
    • Reconcile program/project financials against finance system
    • Administer project purchase orders and purchase order changes
    • Weekly review of all project timesheets. Identify and report unapproved / unbudgeted overtime. Identify and report non-capitalized time
    • Understand program structures to assist in tracking actual to forecast spend
    • Tracks and monitors assigned budget expenditures and reports on variances. Provides projections, as requested
    • Gathers financial data and assist in budget development. Monitor assigned program expenses.
    • Performs various administrative and analytical duties

    Portfolio Project management support
    • Support the Program Director and Project Manager in ensuring that standard budget reporting is completed as required (including weekly report on time and to published standard)
    • Prepare any ad-hoc reports and information as required to assist management in monitoring programs
    • Track and monitor program/project financials including exception reporting for forecast deviation
    • Reconcile program/project financials against finance system
    • Monitor and report on exceptions for new engagements response times
    • Provide monthly reports on new engagement responses by Domains and report any exceptions.

    Customer Management
    • Assist Program/ Project Managers and communicate directly with customers if required
    • Support the Program/Project Manager in managing customer expectations
    • Assist in the preparation of communication presentation material both for internal and vendor consumption

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Bookkeeping, cost/control budget background
    • Experience in managing invoices ranging from 20-50 per month
    • Experience with Oracle Purchase Order functions
    • Experience with monthly financial cycles primarily focused on monthly accruals and actuals
    • Experience in providing financial data for budget forecasts and or reconciliation purposes when required
    • Experience in budget/financial support of programs or projects
    • Advanced Excel & Word Skills
    • Experience and skills in business analysis
    • Tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in IT, Engineering, Business or Marketing discipline
    • An understanding of financial models used in project development and management; ability to monitor and manage budgets
