  • Description


    1. Plans and controls material level on assigned parts / commodities.

    2. Generates valid requirements, identifies current and future excesses and shortages and takes appropriate corrective and preventive action in performing work.

    3. Assists in contract negotiation on his assigned commodities.

    4. Analyzes vendor sources, interviews sales representatives and follows market trends to determine costs.


    1. With limited supervision, selects vendors from approved vendors list (AVL) considering all policies and procedures, goals and targets on various metrics.

    2. Manages the suppliers on assigned parts/commodities.

    3. Recommends make-or-buy strategies where it makes good business sense.

    4. Reports and updates management and peers on market trends which may affect parts of availability, costs, etc. for appropriate action.

    5. Interfaces with members of own team and other team (internal and external) discussing up to relatively complex issues affecting work objective.

    6. Performs other related tasks which maybe assigned.
