Job Description

Examines the orders placed, observing the nature, quality and quantity of goods and availability in suppliers' stock, to make possible to control purchases and deliver the goods within the specified deadlines.

Monitors the procedures of purchasing process, starting from the purchase order of merchandise until delivery by the supplier, to prevent or correct faults.

Consults the stock or similar sectors about the deliveries of purchases made, examining information about goods received from suppliers, to maintain control of process monitoring system.

Seeks to solve problems that impede the progress of processes, fulfilling the requirements requested in processing sectors, in order to make the delivery possible.

Prepares a report on progress of purchases under care, declaring the occurrences that have arisen during the processing of purchase processes and measures taken to clear them, in order to provide the board with guidance for future situations.

Requirements

Education, and experience equivalent to graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree in Purchasing, Supply Chain Management, Public or Business Administration, or related field; and five (5) years of full-time professional-level experience involving the acquisition of equipment, supplies, commodities, or services for a government agency or private company with a substantial purchasing program involving a competitive bidding and negotiation process.
