REQUIRED QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS
• Graduate of Doctor of Veterinary Medicine and pass the Veterinary Licensure examination
• More than 3 years of experience handling of minimum of 500 Sow Level
• Experience handling a swine breeder farm much preferably
• Knowledgeable in swine diseases and diagnostic procedure

JOB DESCRIPTION & FUNCTION
• Monitoring and maintaining animal health and welfare as per guidelines from regulatory authorities and keeping up-to-date knowledge on animal pests and diseases, and taking appropriate measures and action to treat and control the diseases.
• Educate all the farm workers on zoonotic diseases and ways to prevent them, swine health management and biosecurity protocol.
• Execute and strictly monitor farm biosecurity procedure or basic protocols applied inside and outside the farm premises
• Guide and supervise all the farm animal workers especially on the swine production department to ensure their operations are accordance with set standards
• Perform animal diagnostic procedure such as necropsy, animal tissue samples and blood collection etc. for laboratory examination and analysis either for the internal laboratory surveillance testing or for third party laboratory.
• Prescribe medication, administer drugs, vaccination and perform surgeries to treat animal health condition
• Check all the fattening pigs for selling to ensure they are fit for human consumption and pass for food safety standards.
• Perform grading or selection of all the candidates for replacement gilts and breeders fit for sale
• Coordinate with other key persons in the management like for the Farm Operational Manager, Animal Nutritionist, Farm Administrator and the company owner for any matters arise inside the farm.

• Minimum education level: Bachelor´s Degree
