Offer description

1. Ensure a safe workplace environment without risk to health.

2. Ensure that all Safety policies, procedures, rules and regulations are adhered to and are regularly reviewed, updated and communicated.

3. Ensure that all accidents are documented, investigated and recommended improvements implemented.

4. Verifies that all tools and equipment are adequate and safe for use.

5. Establish a full program of documented safety inspections, audits and checks.

6. Establish a structured program of safety training throughout the Company.

7. Reviews and approves all sub-contractors safety plans.

8. Promotes safe practices at the job site.

9. Conducts investigations of all accidents and near-misses.

10. Serves as the link between contractors and Capstone Steel and Trading.

11. Participate in monthly meetings to contractors and other parties when required to report on relevant safety matters.

• Minimum education level: Vocational
• 1 year of experience
• Availability to travel: Yes
