  • Description

  • 1. Serves customers by identifying their needs and engineering adaptations of products, and services.

    2. Identifies current and future customer service requirements by establishing personal rapport with potential and actual customers and others in a position to understand service requirements.

    3. Provides product, service, or technical and engineering information by answering questions and requests.

    4. Establishes new accounts and services accounts by identifying potential customers and planning and organizing sales call schedule.

    5. Prepares cost estimates by studying all related customer documents, consulting with engineers, and other contributing personnel.

    6. Determines improvements by analyzing cost-benefit ratios of equipment, supplies, or service applications in the customer environment and engineering or proposing changes in equipment, processes, or use of materials or services.

    7. Gains customer acceptance by explaining or demonstrating cost reductions and operations improvements.

    8. Submits orders by conferring with technical support staff and costing engineering changes.

    9. Develops customer's team by providing technical information and training.

    10. Complies with state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, and anticipating future legislation.

    11. Prepares sales engineering reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing sales information and engineering and application trends.

    12. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.

    13. Contributes to sales engineering effectiveness by identifying short-term and long-range issues that must be addressed, recommending options and courses of action, and implementing directives.

    14. Identifying areas for improvement and communicating these issues as well as possible solutions to upper management.

    15. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

    16. Help clients solve problems with the installed products.
