  • A. Education:
    1. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Communications, Marketing, Business, or any other related
    field.
    2. The equivalent successful working experience in the position of sales manager is acceptable and
    preferable.
    B. Experience:
    1. A candidate for this position must have a proven and successful working experience in a sales or
    marketing position, of at least 5 years, preferably in the same industry as Multi-Line or the
    construction industry in general.
    2. Must have a strong understanding of sales, marketing, and promotion standards and demonstrate
    an ability to identify business sales opportunities that enable the team to attain or exceed sales
    performance targets.
    C. Communication Skills:
    1. A Sales Manager must possess very good communication skills both in verbal and written form.
    2. Capable of smooth and effective communication with consumers that will out a positive image of
    the company with clients.
    3. Must have great communication skills in his management function where the performance and
    development of junior sales personnel under his care will depend on his skills to coach, train,
    motivate and inspire.
    4. Communication skills are essential in his interactions with senior management and in the
    drafting of clear, simple and easily understandable reports, communication and presentations to
    company management.
    D. Competence.
    1. The Sales Manager must be have the basic technical knowledge to be able to learn and
    understand the applications, features and benefits that can be provided by our various products.
    2. Can confidently and effectively communicate and present our products as the best solution to the
    requirements of customers.
    3. The Sales Manager must be capable of performing the functions of management such as
    planning, organizing, staffing, leading and directing and controlling.
    4. The SM must be proficient in Ms Word and PowerPoint, which are necessary for the creation of
    engaging reports and presentations for customers, to his junior sales personnel and for the
    company management.
    E. Interpersonal Skills:
    1. The Sales Manager must have excellent interpersonal skills, organizational ability, have an ability
    to multitask, prioritize and meet tight deadlines.
    2. The candidate must be comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, have an
    ability to handle stressful situations calmly.
    3. The candidate must be a creative thinker, be detail oriented and have excellent decision-making
    and problem-solving skills.
    4. The candidate must model positive attitude that inspire people.
    F. People Skills:

    1. The Sales Manager must be an approachable and relatable individual who portrays the good
    image of the company, appealing to customers, to the people under his department and the
    people in the other departments of the company.
    2. The Sales Manager must have people skills in his management of the sales personnel in his
    department and excellent skills to coach, train, motivate and inspire people, and to
    guide them towards achievement of their individual goals.
    G. Customer Service Skills.
    1. Must have high sensitivity to the concerns of customers, recognize potential concerns before they
    become major problems and report them to management for immediate action.
    2. Must be always on the look-out for ways to improve our level of service to our customers.
    3. Skills in dealing with dissatisfied customers, listening to customer’s concerns with empathy,
    understanding their needs and bringing them up to the management for appropriate action.
    H. Research and Analytical Skills:
    1. The Sales Manager must possess research and analytical skills. He must be capable of digging
    out sales and market information about sales opportunities, competition, new products and
    technologies, trends and situations that impact on our products and industry.
    2. Must have the skill to process the information and turn them into actionable data that will be
    useful for management to take appropriate action.
