    Role Overview
    The Senior Events Manager is a selfless - inspiring leader with outstanding organizational skills who has a
    proven ability to execute on high profile events flawlessly. Your role is to lead and elevate the execution of
    the Corporate Events, community affairs (QCares) and wellness department.

    • Supervise the development of scalable and sustainable event strategies, concepts, event themes,
    leverage best practices and processes, and propose initiatives that anticipate and reflect the changing
    needs of the company.
    • Effectively manage the overall events budget
    • Develop and present proposals to Executives and other internal stakeholders, as appropriate
    • Conduct site visits as necessary for offsite event needs and participate, along with Procurement, in the
    decision making and recommendation process.
    • Translate event needs into requirements for effective issuance of RFPs by Procurement
    • Work with Communications team on development of effective event promotion strategies that include
    inbound and outbound marketing communications tactics, including social media
    • Support and collaborate with all relevant vendor and staff resources on-site to ensure flawless execution
    of events. Monitor activities to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and laws, satisfaction of
    participants, and resolution of any problems that arise
    • Oversee the collaboration of the corporate events team with the events committee to formulate event
    objectives, schedules, required resources and measures of success of all events.
    • Support, direct, and supervise the corporate events department staff and resources and provide close
    coordination with internal support teams (e.g. audio/visual, travel, facilities) and other cross-functional
    departments.

    • Must have solid experience in Events Management with at least 4-6 years in managing various large
    scale corporate events in a leadership capacity
    • Must be willing to work in a fast-paced and clients centered environment
    • Ability to operate in a dynamic, start-up environment with minimal supervision.
    • Ability to function independently, with decision making skills, problem solving and innovative thinking skills
    in potentially high stress situations;
    • Ability to manage multiple projects independently and simultaneously
    • Excellent in both oral and written communication skills and mastery of presentation techniques
    • Great organizational skills with excellent planning and coordination skills
    • You have a collaborative spirit
    • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelors/College Degree
    • Proficient in MS Office Tools
    Specific skills we would love to see…
    • Experience managing a direct report(s)
    • High level of organizational and time management skills
    • Strong relationship building skills with diverse stakeholders – Corporate, Volunteer groups, colleagues etc.
    • Strategic vision and capacity for long-term planning
    • Have handled an average audience of 500 - 1000 per event
    • Have handled various internal and external events (CSR, Corporate, Wellness)
