JOB SUMMARY



Software Engineer III is a senior level position working in a diverse environment and utilize their skills to analyze and solve issues. In addition, to collaborate with others within and outside the team. A multitude of opportunities exist to further career goals. Software Engineers III are a key position within the software development organization. This role requires excellent programming, mentoring and leadership skills. Candidates in this position are groomed for future leadership or architect positions within the organization. Produces commercial software components/services/solutions, execute moderate complexity software engineering assignments when provided high level business requirements and technical design guidelines from an architect with minimal supervision

PRIMARY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

Interpret business requirements and technical specification documents. Write application software code according to the business requirements and technical specifications

Investigate, analyze and document reported software defects, Perform maintenance programming and correction of identified software defects

Create, document and implement unit tests

Create and maintain technical documentation using appropriate templates

Mentoring associate developers and development interns

Collaborating with other departments to better define requirements and implementation of software features

ANALYSIS

Interpret business requirements and technical specification documents

Investigate, analyze and document reported software defects

Collaborating with other departments to better define requirements and implementation of software features

Ability to breakdown requirements into stories and provide estimates, performs code reviews, raises technical risk and creates technical documentation.

INNOVATION

A Senior Software Engineer III should provide creative solutions to help improve the outcomes for pharmacy business unit. This includes new methods for business features and creative solutions to business requirements. In addition, learning and implementing new technology to advance the project. Recommend and implement process improvements.

JUDGEMENT AND DECISION MAKING

This job requires that the Senior Software Engineer III interpret customer, PO and design requirements to create solutions that meet or exceed the customer’s expectations.

QUALIFICATIONS/COMPETENCIES/SKILLS:

A Bachelor’s degree in a related field

At least eight (8) years of professional experience developing software with the Java programming language

Mastery of Java technologies

Java

Spring Framework

Hibernate

Java Swing

Web services

Spring boot

Oracle RDBMS and SQL syntax

React or Angular

GitLab, Git, Jira, Jenkins,

Octopus, Ansible

A mastery of and extensive experience with Object Oriented Design Patterns and their application in enterprise software applications

Extensive experience developing web services

Must have a basic aptitude for programming and analytical thinking

Azure experience is a plus
