Required Experience

> Minimum 5 years experience with an Australian Tax Accounting firm preparing Financials and Tax Returns and Activity Statements

> Preferably working with the same firm for at least the last 2.5 – 3 years

> The Australian Firm/s needs to have had a minimum of 12 employees (80% Accountants/20% Admin):

- Varied Industries

- Individuals with financial investments and rental properties

- Sole Traders Partnerships

- Trusts - Family and Unit Trusts

- Companies

- Groups with multiple entities

> Understands and knows:

- Division 7A

- Franking Accounts

- Calculating FBT/employee reimbursement for motor vehicles

- GST/BAS's

- A command of the Australian tax laws

- Capital Gains tax

- Depreciation and Small Business Depreciation Rules (Simplified Depreciation)

Minimum Qualifications

> Business Degree

> CPA (at least initial qualification if not doing annual exam)

> Australian Tax experience

Proficient With

> Computers generally

> MYOB Accountants Enterprise including:

- Ledgers

- Tax Returns

- Depreciation/Asset management

- Activity Statements

- Timesheets

> Xero, MYOB (client versions), Excel, Word, Zoom/teams, and Email

Experience Advantage

> Recon, BGL 360 Simple fund, Crypto tax Calculator, preparing client invoices in AE

> The following tax knowledge areas are not a must but an advantage:

- Unpaid beneficial entitlements

- Personal Services legislation

- Naming the 4 Small Business Capital gains tax concessions

- Identify two reasons why you need to make a Family Trust election
