We are looking for Quality Assurance testers with automation experience to work on a growing enterprise of pharmacy applications and services. You will be part of an Agile team responsible for providing solutions to requirements that includes both manual and automation testing scenarios for microservice, client-server and enterprise web-based applications.

Job Tasks:

• Develop test strategy, test plan from designs, specifications, and user requirements.

• Develop and enhance manual test cases and automation test scripts.

• Perform functional and integration testing of both GUI, non-GUI (transactional) systems.

• Partner with developers to improve and implement automate test solutions.

• Perform software installations, configurations, and debugging of test environments.

• Conduct demonstrations and trainings with other departments and for support teams.

• Assist the customer support team troubleshoot application issues in production

Duties and Responsibilities:

Communication

1. Communicate impediments and suggested resolution steps

2. Communicate troubleshooting status, root cause(s), short-term and long-term mitigation steps for critical production issues (patient safety, high financial impact, etc.)

Analysis

Develop the quickest software solutions that meets all the following

1) Meets the needs of customer (as defined by Design)

2) Minimal post-production defects

3) Adheres to internal standards for quality, security, and long-term maintenance

4) Build automated test plans for coverage of functionality, performance, verification tests

Innovation

Develop new/improve existing software solutions by using the latest technologies (Cloud computing, API development, Test Automation, DevOps, etc.) to reduce development& maintenance cost, increase the speed to market, increase ability to scale quickly, etc.

Judgment and Decision Making

Software Engineering ensures the completeness and quality of the software build to be shipped to the customers.

Qualifications/ Skills/ Experience Needed

• Experience coding or automation skills using Java, Perl, VB, LoadRunner, Selenium, JMeter.

(3+ years concentrated experience)

• 4+ years QA experience with in-depth understanding of software testing principles and techniques.

• Solid knowledge of any type of UNIX environment.

• Intermediate knowledge of XML, Soap, HTTP, and web services transaction development or testing.

• Intermediate knowledge of relational databases. Must be proficient creating SQL queries using tools like DbVisualizer, Microsoft Query or command-line.

• Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) are required.

• Strong troubleshooting and investigative skills.

• Self-motivate, team player with service-oriented mindset.

• Transaction processing experience is especially desirable.

• Agile (SCRUM), Rally, WebLogic, Subversion, DbVisualizer, SoapUI experience is a plus.

• Intermediate knowledge of Java, Oracle, XML, J2EE, or web services is a big plus.

Education

Bachelors Degree AND At least 4 years of experience developing mission-critical software applications

OR

Master Degree AND At least 1 years of experience developing mission-critical software applications

Preferred Qualification

• Healthcare experience is a plus - pharmacy or claims processing knowledge is especially desirable.

• Certified Pharmacy Technician rating may substitute for formal technology or testing experience.

Additional Information

Key tasks of Software Quality Engineer III:

•Develop and implement “Best Practice” for Automation and Test plans.

•Provide leadership to the team to accomplish related project, schedule, and scope commitments.

•Provides training and support to AQA testers in the team.

•Identifies, manages, and communicates risks defined by team to the project manager(s), Product Owners, business owners and other key stakeholders.

•Drives innovation and automation of processes by making use of tools.

•Provide input on quality assurance practices

•Schedules resources of the Development/QA/test team taking into account testing needs and schedules of all projects.
