  • Position : Steward

    Department : Food & Beverage

    Report to : HEAD CHEF

    Report to ( Indirectly ): Asst. Head Chef, Captain Waiter / Supervisor / Manager


    Provides the restaurant and kitchen with clean and sanitary wares. Ensures cleanliness of the back of the house including the delivery area. Assists in the set-up, operation, and clean-up of the restaurant.


    1. Reports for work as scheduled.

    2. Cleans dishes, glassware, pots, pans, silverware, and kitchen items, ensuring that sanitizer on dish machine and pot sinks meet specific requirements for health standards.

    3. Adheres to all sanitation, safety and security policies and procedures as outlined by restaurant standards and local laws.

    4. Sets up stations with flatware (polished), dishware, glassware, and coffee and tea supplies.

    5. Keeps kitchen and dish room in clean and orderly condition at all times by sweeping, mopping, emptying trash, wiping counters and equipment and organizing shelves in order to maintain a sanitary work station and meet mandated health compliance requirements.

    6. Maintains superior standards of quality, service, and cleanliness in the restaurant and service area. Consistently maintains a neat, organized and clean workspace and uniform.

    7. Ensures proper cleaning and minor maintenance of equipment. Major repairs and maintenance concerns are reported to his superiors. Closely coordinates with the company technical team for the repair of equipment. Informs the Head Chef, Manager and or Supervisor of major repair and maintenance concerns.

    8. Assist in receiving and organizing stocks both for service and production sections.

    9. Conducts inventory of breakages and prepares reports daily, weekly and monthly.

    10. Performs other duties as assigned.

    11. Knows the proper use and usage of chemicals or detergents.

    12. Assists in receiving, storing, and inventory of stocks or supplies.

    13. Wears a clean and proper uniform.

    14. Extends cooperation among colleagues and promotes teamwork in the workplace.

    15. Knows what to do in the event of an emergency such as earthquake and fire.
